If you load up an existing save in the middle of a mission, the Overwatch All ability will become available at the start of your next turn. Inspired by and based on the Evac All mod. to defend humanity from Sectoids and Chryssalids and play the 2012 Game of the Year award-winning strategy title XCOM: Enemy Unknown for free on Steam. Joe Weinhoffer, designer on War of the Chosen, explains how it came about. This mod will save you a lot of time, even if you have Stop Wasting My Time or similar mods installed, because you will avoid the mandatory pause at the end of each unit's turn. Long War 2 is a significant overhaul of XCOM 2 aimed at giving players the feel of running a worldwide guerrilla war against ADVENT and offering them a greater variety of strategic and tactical experiences. It makes the world feel even more alive in XCOM 2: War of the Chosen. If you need a version that works with non-WotC, go here: Just this ability alone makes me want to bring a SPARK on every single mission.Adds the ability to put all/other units with action points on Overwatch. This makes timed missions so much easier, and you have the luxury of playing them safe and still be able to reach the objective on time. Heck, once you get Wrecking Ball you can consistently just straight up run through walls to reach the objective, no matter where it is. But with a SPARK, you can just Overdrive, make a triple move (which is normally something your other troops can only do in the lategame), use a ranged hack on top of that, and even just straight up stand in the open and tank a shot or two from any enemies that might be there. Especially in the early game your troops might sometimes not have the power to push through all the way to the objective in time, and even if you do you might have to overextend and risk losing the soldier running up to the objective on the last turn because you triggered the last pod of enemies there. Next you have timed missions, arguably the hardest type of mission in the game. This is an incredible advantage on Legend. SPARKS don't care, they're always available and makes sure you have at least one sturdy member of the team. On Legend you often find yourself pressed for troops as they get tired. The most powerful thing about SPARKS are actually not their raw combat stats, but rather the more subtle advantages their other attributes give them. In response, a new enemy, known as the Chosen, emerges with one goal: recapture the Commander. Even in the lategame, where their power starts to drop compared to the other soldier classes (due to lack of abilities from the Training Center), their specific combination of abilities and attributes still makes me want to bring them on missions. XCOM® 2: War of the Chosen adds extensive new content in the fight against ADVENT when additional resistance factions form in order to eliminate the alien threat on Earth. They're not indestructible of course, and they require a high amount of skill to use (especially timing Overdrive correctly), but once you master them they're indespensable. SPARKs provide such an incredible amount of value and resilience they can easily take the pressure off the other troops. I've tried a multitude of builds and tactics on Legend/Ironman and the only strategy that makes the game feel comfortable on that difficulty is the SPARK rush. It'd be like saying "My first Grenadier got flanked and one-shot by a Sectoid on the first mission, so Grenadiers must suck!". That's not really an argument against them.
